1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ace UR Math (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. These terms apply to the mobile app (iOS and Android) and website at aceurmath.org.
2. Account Types & Eligibility
2.1 Account Types

2.2 Account Validation
- Children under 13: Must be created and validated by a parent
- Students: Must be invited by a teacher using a classroom code
- Parent validation: Children receive email invitations that parents must approve
- Teacher validation: Students joining via classroom code are automatically linked
2.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@aceurmath.org if you suspect unauthorized access.

3.2 Free Trial
3.3 Billing & Renewal
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
- Payment Methods: Credit card (via Stripe), Apple Pay, Google Pay, App Store/Play Store in-app purchase
- Price Changes: We'll notify you 30 days before any price increases
- Failed Payments: We'll attempt to charge 3 times over 7 days before suspending access
3.4 Cancellation & Refunds
- Cancel Anytime: Cancel from Settings > Subscription or contact support
- Access After Cancellation: Service continues until the end of the paid period
- Refunds: Pro-rated refunds available within 7 days of subscription start; contact support
- App Store Purchases: Refunds handled by Apple/Google per their policies
4. Parent & Teacher Responsibilities
4.1 Parent Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information when creating child accounts
- Monitor children's use of the Service appropriately
- Ensure children understand appropriate use
- Manage subscription billing and account settings
- Respond to validation requests for child accounts
4.2 Teacher Responsibilities
- Only invite students with appropriate consent/authorization
- Maintain confidentiality of classroom codes
- Monitor classroom activity and student progress
- Remove students who no longer belong in classrooms
- Ensure compliance with school/district policies
5. Acceptable Use
5.1 Permitted Uses
- Practice math skills using provided content
- Use AI homework helper for legitimate educational purposes
- Track progress and earn rewards through the gamification system
- Create and share assignments (teachers)
5.2 Prohibited Uses
- Sharing account credentials with others
- Attempting to bypass payment or trial restrictions
- Using automated systems or bots to interact with the Service
- Submitting false, inappropriate, or harmful content
- Reverse engineering or copying our content/algorithms
- Using the Service for any commercial purpose without authorization
6. Content & Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
All math problems, explanations, curriculum content, creature designs, app design, and branding are owned by Ace UR Math. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission.
6.2 User Content
When you submit homework photos or interact with our AI tutor, you grant us a license to process and store that content for service delivery. We do not claim ownership of your homework or uploaded content.
7. AI Tutor & Homework Helper
- AI-generated explanations are for educational guidance only
- We don't guarantee 100% accuracy of AI responses
- Users should verify important answers with teachers/parents
- Homework submissions are processed by third-party AI (OpenAI) without personal identifiers
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, including our COPPA compliance for children under 13.
9. Service Availability
- We strive for 99.9% uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service
- Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
- We may modify features with reasonable notice
- Service may be unavailable in certain regions due to legal requirements
10. Termination
10.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time through Settings or by contacting support. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
10.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Abuse the free trial system
- Post inappropriate content
11. Disclaimers
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ace UR Math shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13. Dispute Resolution
- Contact us first at legal@aceurmath.org to resolve disputes
- If unresolved, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration
- Class action waiver: disputes must be brought individually
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
